In terms of air connectivity, Nayarit has two important arrival points, the first one is the Amado Nervo International Airport (learn more), in the state capital, with flights from Mexico City and Tijuana; and the second is the Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport, in Puerto Vallarta with national and international flights.
In terms of land connectivity, you can reach the state capital from any point in the Mexican Republic that has the Tepic Bus Station as its destination

Any of the sun and beach destinations are within driving distance. If you are coming from Tepic, the Nuevo Nayarit area is three hours away, while the port of San Blas is half an hour away. If you’re arriving from Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Nayarit is less than 40 minutes away.
Reaching Tepic from the capital of Mexico can also vary in duration, however, by air it takes less than 50 minutes, while by land, you could do over eight hours by taking Federal Highway 15, on this same journey the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco is an hour and a half away.
