Museum “De los Cinco Pueblos”
This museum is a window to the cultural richness of the five indigenous peoples of Nayarit: Huicholes, Coras, Tepehuanos, Mexicaneros and Mestizos. With a modern and interactive museography, you will be able to learn about their cosmovisions, art, traditions and ways of life. It is an essential place to understand the soul of the state.
Just a few steps away, you will also find the Regional Museum of Nayarit, located in a beautiful colonial mansion, this museum offers a complete vision of the local history, from the pre-Hispanic cultures to the revolution. It is a good starting point to understand the context of the region.
Main Square and Cathedral of Tepic
The heart of the city beats in this lively square, ideal for strolling, having a coffee or simply observing the day to day. The neo-Gothic cathedral is a local icon not to be missed.

Typical gastronomy in local markets
Don’t leave Tepic without trying a shrimp tamale, red pozole or aguachile. The Juan Escutia Market, the Morelos Market or local businesses are a good place to enjoy traditional cuisine. If you want something more gourmet in the historic centre you will also find the Emiliano restaurant which offers haute cuisine and is ranked among the best in Mexico.
