Nayarit now has a vineyard, discover Meseta del Cielo
South of Nayarit, in the municipality of Jala, within one of the most picturesque communities in the region, this vineyard can be found. It offers a broad panorama of the work of grapes and fermentation.
Gastronomic tourism lovers now have a new option in Meseta del Cielo, an innovative project that since 2019 began its plantation with vines brought from Europe, with Syrah and Macebeo being the ones that best adapted to the ecosystem.
In 2022, the first Nayarit wines were be produced for commercial purposes branded with the Meseta del Cielo label. In 2023 Meseta del Cielo opened as a touristic destination and soon became a mandatory stop for those visiting the Magical Town of Jala.
This year the Syrah 2022 harvest also managed to make it to the Top 99 MEXICAN WINES of Cava Magazine.
What activities can be done on Meseta del Cielo?
Meseta del Cielo is not only dedicated to the production and distribution of its exquisite products, it also carries out activities such as tastings, guided tours, and wine afternoons for people who are interested in getting to know the region and drinking quality products.
In addition to the grapes mentioned before, the vineyard also offers its traditional Santa Sirena wine, made from jamaica, which has managed to position itself as a local favorite for some years, and one of the obligatory recommendations if you’re looking to bring different souvenirs from this region of Nayarit.
