Los Toriles, a window to the ancient ages of Nayarit
The archaeological zones of Mexico are places that preserve evidence of the cultural and social past of pre-Hispanic societies. They are scattered throughout different parts of the national territory and are part of highly relevant tourist blocks.
Los Toriles is located in the southern region of Nayarit, it is an archaeological site that has one of the few circular temples in Mesoamérica, thus becoming a window to the ancient age of the region.
Located in the municipality of Ixtlán del Río, it remains opened from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Entrance is $70 pesos, and allows you to discover the shaft tombs and a way of life experienced from 700 to 1200 AD.
Among the attractions available are the staircases, residential houses, altars, sidewalks, drains and work instruments. Make sure to visit it and be amazed.
