Enjoy Your Holiday Season in Nayarit
With family, a partner, or friends, Nayarit offers options for all plans and tastes this coming December vacation. Here are some recommendations:
Dreamy Cabins
During this season, the weather sets the perfect mood to get into the holiday spirit, and one of the best ways to do so is by staying in cabin-style accommodations surrounded by nature and away from the city noise.
We invite you to visit Cabañas Luminaya in the village of Tequepexpan, Santa María del Oro, a place with incredible views, full of peace and tranquility. Other cabins in the forest and by a beautiful lagoon are found at Santa María Resort, offering kayak rides and a delicious gastronomic selection.
Also by the lagoon, in San Pedro Lagunillas, you can enjoy cozy glamping at Casa Casa Laguna, with charming igloo-style rooms where you can host a bonfire night. All these options are ideal for sharing quality time with your family or partner while enjoying a relaxing stay under the starry sky.
Riviera Nayarit
The beaches in Nayarit are beautiful, and the weather during this season remains warm along our coasts, making them an excellent option for any travel purpose—from comfortable family vacations in the Pueblo Mágico of San Blas or a tranquil beach like Playa Novillero in Tecuala to a luxury resort in Nuevo Nayarit.
Riviera Nayarit lets you enjoy the sea with landscapes surrounded by jungle or mangroves, depending on the area you visit. The seafood cuisine is one of the most varied and delicious in all of Mexico. If you want comfort and tranquility accompanied by the sound of the waves, Riviera Nayarit is for you.
The Wine Route
That’s right, Nayarit has wine! Its vineyards are located in the mountains of Jala, specifically in Cofradía de Juanacatlán, at Meseta del Cielo, an easily accessible spot from the Pueblo Mágico of Jala. Here, you can taste the rich varieties of wine produced in the region, enjoy a cheese board, and take a tour of the vineyards.
To continue your journey, indulge in the majestic Ceboruco Volcano, an active volcano where you can see fumaroles up close and even camp among them and the natural scenery.
If camping isn’t your style, the town of Jala offers the Nukari Quinta Boutique, a beautiful boutique hotel with spa services, delicious food, and tours of the wine route.
While you’re there, take the opportunity to explore the picturesque Pueblo Mágico of Jala, with its stunning colonial architecture, a basilica rich in history, and during certain times of the year, musical street tours accompanied by a rondalla ensemble.
The Charm of the City
For those looking to experience “a bit of everything,” the best option is the city of Tepic, a safe place with plenty of options for all tastes. Shopping centers, restaurants, nightlife, and it’s also within short distances of the destinations previously mentioned.
Half an hour away is the beach of San Blas and the lagoon of Santa María del Oro; one hour away is Jala, and two and a half hours away is Nuevo Nayarit. If you have more time, you can create a complete itinerary to enjoy multiple destinations and activities within our state.
If you stay in Tepic, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Barrio Mágico de Bellavista and its imposing old textile factory.
Additionally, Tepic has several museums to explore, such as the Amado Nervo Museum and the Juan Escutia Museum, both dedicated to these historical figures of our city; the Cinco Pueblos Museum, where you can learn about our indigenous communities and their traditions; the Emilia Ortiz Contemporary Art Museum, which frequently hosts art exhibitions; among others.
Nayarit has it all and for everyone. We look forward to welcoming you on your next vacation with magical places, delicious food, a variety of activities, and excellent accommodations that suit every budget.
